Teacher's Bio

 

     Mark White is a Shodan (1st Dan) USAF in Aikido. He began his training in 1988 under the direction of the late Joaquim (Jack) Leonardo Sensei who was a student of the late M. Kanai Shihan, Chief instructor of New England Aikikai. Mark then continued his training with Donald Cardoza Sensei, until his passing in 2012, by whom Mark was promoted to 3rd Dan in 2011.

 
   In the Spring 2013, Mark affliated with United States Aikido Federation with the entry rank of Shodan.

 

   Mark continues to attend several seminars a year with some of the world's top instructors in Aikido with his wife Glynelle. Together they work to further develop their understanding of Aikido so they may share it with others.


   Mark currently works as a Physician Assistant in the field of Neurosurgery, at Southcoast Neurosurgery, Brain and Spine Center, Dartmouth, MA.

     Glynelle White is a Shodan (1st dan) USAF in Aikido. After many years of watching her husband, she began her aikido training in 2004 under the direction of the late Donald Cardoza Sensei who awarded Glynelle her Shodan rank in 2011.


   In the Spring 2013, Glynelle affiliated with the United States Aikido Federation with the entry rank of Shodan.

 

   She also continues to attend several seminars a year with some of the world's top instructors in Aikido with her husband Mark.

 

     Glynelle is an Adult Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Diabetes Educator and is employed by Compass Medical in East Bridgewater. After receiving her Masters degree in Nursing, she returned to the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, to enroll in the Nurse Practioner program. She graduated in May, 2013 and is now a certified Adult Nurse Practitioner specializing in Diabetes Management. Her interests include her family, cooking, traveling and gardening.

 

 

     Mark and Glynelle are co-owners and co-instructors at Bristol County Aikikai.
